About IS Foundation

The IS Foundations introduction to the world started out as a wish for Ian Somerhalders' 32nd Birthday. He asked that if people truely wanted to give him a gift that they donate to his foundation so they can begin to make a difference and right the wrongs of this world. Ian's thousands of fans rallied to the cause and the support the Foundation is receiving from all over the world is amazing. His dedication and enthusiasm to this special cause has made so many people change their way of thinking about this world and how they live in it. He has made many of us want to be better more considerate people and our eyes have been opened to the plight of our planet and all it contains. Visit the foundations website and see how you can help this fantastic collection of selfless people to fulfill a dream of a better future.

Anne the Elephant - The UK Must Ban all Circuses from using Wild Animals.

As most of you all know by now Anne the Elephant who was abused by an employee at Bobby Roberts Circus is now safe. After much campaigning and many complaints Anne has now been moved to Longleat Safari park where she is settling in well. As she is a very old lady with health problems her future seems a little uncertain but at least she will live the rest of her days in a stimulating and loving environment with people who genuinely care for animals to look after her.
The next step in this campaign is to get the UK Government to ban the use of all wild animals in circuses. I don't understand how in our 'modern' country this can still be allowed. We have laws on animal cruelty and some huge charities who keep up their public presence to remind us of that so how did this slip through the net?
Now this issue is being brought to the governments attention we need to ask our local MP's to back the ban and help get the law passed. If the public throw their weight behind this there is no way we can be ignored.

So here are the links you need - Find out who your local MP is http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/
If you are living outside of the UK you can contact the PM's office here http://www.number10.gov.uk/footer/contact-us

Don't just make your voices heard for Anne make them heard for all animals being forced to perform just for the greed of the circus owners.

This is where Anne now lives - http://www.longleat.co.uk/
